The first time I met Vandon he was probably 9 years old and now here we are taking his Senior Pictures in the Kansas City West Bottoms. I clearly remember him coming up to his dad, Timmy Gibson, while my then fiancé and I were interviewing with Timmy to be the officiate at our upcoming wedding. I remembering Timmy replying “Dude, how many have you already had? Let’s just do half of one this time.” Little did we know during that time that this family would be come dear friends of ours. If I am being honest I originally wanted Timmy to do our wedding because he had good hair and wouldn’t mess up our wedding pictures (always thinking about pictures).
To make a long story short… We hired Timmy for our wedding. Our pictures were amazing. We ended up joining his church, Mercy Church. My husband served as the assistant Pastor with the church for a couple years. And the Gibson family became dear friends of ours.
I was so honored to take capture Vandon’s Senior Pictures. If you been following me for very long you know the West Bottoms is one of my favorite locations for Senior Pictures and this was no exception for Vandon’s pictures. The location fit his vibe perfect and I couldn’t love these pictures more!
